The trainees dinner is an annual event of socialising and dining. It was previously held in September each year, but has been moved to coincide with GlaMOR, usually held on a Friday at the end of March. It is a black-tie event (kilts are common) featuring a meal, good company and entertaining speakers, it is an evening not to be missed.

The dinner has gone through many formats and the venue changes from year to year. Tickets will be sold in advance.

Nominations for the Trainer of the Year award are submitted prior to the event and the winner announced on the night.

The trainees currently charged with organising the event are Hannah Bradman (ST7) and Stephanie Spence (ST8).
