General Information
The Gartnavel Campus contains Gartnavel General Hospital, the Beatson Oncology Centre, Gartnavel Royal Hospital (Mental Health) and the Board Headquarters. Gartnavel General Hospital was formerly partnered with the Western Infirmary. Since the QEUH opened, it continues to operate as a 'spoke' from the new QEUH.

There has been a Hospital in on this site since the early 1800's with the earliest establishment here being a Mental Health Hospital.
The current site provides a wide range of services including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics & Podiatry, a Gym and a Multi-Faith centre.
Catering
There is an Aroma Cafe located on the Upper Ground floor. A 'Deco' coffee shop is located in the main entrance reception area, which serves soup and sandwiches. This shop also uses the same loyalty cards as the Soup & Juice shop at the QEUH. There is also a WH Smith and a WRVS cafe adjacent to the orthopaedic department.

Orthopaedic Department
The QEUH upper limb day surgery is almost exclusively performed at GGH, along with a growing "cold site" elective unit for lower limb.
Patients are admitted through Ward 4C and this is the inpatient ward. Theaters are located in the basement and orthopaedic surgery is performed in theater E and F.

Travel Information
Gartnavel is in the heart of the West end just off Great Western Road, one of the major roads of Glasgow city.
Car - Although being only 6 miles from the M8 it can take in excess of 20 min to travel the short distance due to heavy traffic. As with many of the city based hospitals in the region, parking is a problem and public transport is your best option.
Train / Bus / Bike - There are 3 train stations all within 15 min walk; Anniesland, Jordanhill and Hyndland (closes). There are regular train services from all 3 which lead into the city. There are also regular buses which travel along either Great Western Road or Crow Road which will take you to the city centre, the West end or South side. You can walk or cycle from the city centre.
