There are plenty of opportunities for trainees to get involved in teaching within the region.

 

Undergraduate:

• 1st year surface anatomy workshops

• Cadaveric dissection room sessions

• Regional Examination of Musculoskeletal System (REMS)

Departmental level:

• Tutorials for students on their MSK placement

• Educational Supervision for MSK students

• Supervision of research projects

• Local in-house teaching, where applicable

• Clinical supervision of junior trainees

Postgraduate:

• Courses at the RCPSG - BSS/MRCS preparation etc

• Regional teaching - senior trainees are expected to contribute

• Mock exams (FRCS +ve trainees)

The undergraduate sessions are co-ordinated by Mr N. Hussain, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the QEUH.
