Teaching Opportunities
There are plenty of opportunities for trainees to get involved in teaching within the region.
Undergraduate:
-
1st year surface anatomy workshops

Cadaveric dissection room sessions

Regional Examination of Musculoskeletal System (REMS)

Departmental level:
-
Tutorials for students on their MSK placement
-
Educational Supervision for MSK students
-
Supervision of research projects
-
Local in-house teaching, where applicable
-
Clinical supervision of junior trainees

Postgraduate:
-
Courses at the RCPSG - BSS/MRCS preparation etc
-
Regional teaching - senior trainees are expected to contribute

Mock exams (FRCS +ve trainees)

The undergraduate sessions are co-ordinated by Mr N. Hussain, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the QEUH.
