Child Protection Guidance
 

Child protection is everyone's responsibility.

 

As trainees in the region we will be asked multiple times for input into paediatric trauma. It is important to be aware of Non Accidental Injury as a possible mechanism.  

 

If there are concerns about a the mechanism of a child's injury or their welfare the next steps vary depending on health board.

 

Each hospital should have their local child protection guidance included in their induction documentation. This will also be covered in person at the induction at Royal Hospital for Children Glasgow.
